"NCIS" actor David McCallum has died

 According to Deadline, McCallum passed away on Monday, September 25, due to natural causes. He peacefully passed away at the hospital, surrounded by his close family.

McCallum, a Scottish-born actor, is best known for his portrayal of the forensic pathologist Donald "Ducky" Mallard in the investigative series "NCIS."

"NCIS" producers Steven D. Binder and David North stated, "For over 20 years, McCallum was beloved worldwide for his role as the intelligent, eccentric, and sometimes enigmatic Dr. Donald 'Ducky' Mallard."

McCallum gained significant recognition in the 1960s spy series "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." and received two Emmy nominations for his role in the series, as reported by AP.

"David was a talented actor and writer, adored by many around the world. He lived a remarkable life, and his legacy will endure through his family and the countless hours of film and TV that will never fade away," stated CBS in a release.
